Alan liu's digital toy chest is a well known collection of digital resources for digital activities; from text analysis tools to code versioning systems.

ACTIVELY LEARN IS A WEBSITE THAT PROVIDES READING MATERIAL FOR STUDENTS AND OFFERS A WAY FOR TEACHERS TO BETTER TRACK STUDENT PROGRESS, ASSESS STUDENTS CAPABILITIES, AND OFFER BETTER FEEDBACK.
prism is a website that allows teachers to either create their own or choose an existing "prism" (a segment or full literary work presented on the website used for educational purposes only). with this "prism" a teacher can provide themes/ideas for which the students will annotate on the website. the site promotes teacher/student collaboration and a different kind of engagement with traditional english literature.

similar to actively learn, pear deck is a digital presentation resource. given the technology available in a classroom, english teachers can use pear deck to present background information or contextual information on the works of literature studied. with pear deck, teachers can pose questions, create interactive hyper links, and prompt student conversation digitally. 

Lexipedia is a digital dictionary that provides multiple definitions, uses of words, antonyms, synonyms, and "fuzzynyms. this website is one of many fantastic dictionary resources on the internet and is by no means the best, but students should, at the very least, have knowledge of these alternative kinds of dictionaries.

there are many variations on the internet of each resource provided, but these will serve as sufficient basic foundations.

Poem Viewer is a website dedicated to intense gramatical and syntactical visual representation. A little more complex compared to other resources suggested on this page, this example is representative of a whole presence of visualized poems on the internet.

Kimberly tyson also created a website list of resources slightly less complex than liu's toychest. the list consists of english digital literacy resources.

thinglink allows for students to demonstrate their comprehensive and reflective thoughts in an alternative academic way rather than traditional essay writing. Although traditional writing assignments are still educationally crucial, alternative digital writing assignments allow for a different healthy demonstration of knowledge and progress.

students can use twitter to create plot summarizations of texts. this activity is not only accessible and creative, but also demonstrative of the student's comprehension of the text.
